Ingredients

  • 1.5kg/3.3lb chicken legs
  • 225g/1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 120g/1 cup flour
  • 5g/2 tsp chili powder
  • 5g/2 tsp dried marjoram
  • 5g/2 tsp ground oregano
  • 5g/2 tsp dried sage
  • 5g/2 tsp dried basil
  • 5g/2 tsp onion salt
  • 5g/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 10g/1.5 tbsp paprika
  • 10g/2 tsp salt

Method

  • Cut the chicken legs in half.
  • Add the buttermilk and the egg to a bowl and whisk well.
  • In another bowl, add flour and all spices and mix well.
  • Soak the chicken in the buttermilk and egg. Then, dredge it in the flour mixture on all sides and shake off the excess coating.
  • Add oil to the Whatever Pan and heat it to 175°C/350°F.
  • Add the chicken and fry for 8 minutes on each side.
  • Remove the chicken from the oil and add to a drying rack on top of a clean cookie sheet. Voila!
